Gerry McGovern: The challenge for web editors and communication staff in a task oriented intranet
Toby Ward: Intranet 2.0: learning from others & how to implement

In March 2009 the intranet of the Havenbedrijf Rotterdam (Port of Rotterdam N.V.) took a big step. A new intranet in Sharepoint was completed. The job was done with multiple external parties, internal department, departmental editors, web masters, business consultant and project leaders. How do you keep all these parties on track?
Just as many other companies, OCÉ has been through a period of cutbacks and layoffs. The budget for internal communication also diminished rapidly, while the necessity of good communication only increased.

The popularity of social media is getting through to the corporate intranet. The past few years, many organisation have started experimenting with ‘social intranet’. What are the opportunities?

All local Rabobanks in the Netherlands use Sharepoint as their new intranet service. 'Starting small, winning more' is the slogan of the project with which Rabobank wants to expand the options of SharePoint step-by-step. Currently, they are already busy implementing. According to the project staff, it is "a very adventurous process".
